Join Our Schools’ Advisory Team

Are you a ready for a new challenge?  We are growing our School’s Advisory Team and are now looking for an exceptional individual with outstanding communication skills to engage and support school leaders who are interested in using Sleuth in their school.

You will need an good working knowledge of how schools operate and the different roles and responsibilities of leaders and staff.  Previous professional experience in a school is highly desirable, a leadership role (e.g. a middle or senior leader) would be a significant advantage.

The majority of enquiries are from school leaders who have been referred to us by colleagues in their local networks.   Using your professional experience and a consultative approach you will be able to engage with busy school leaders to support their evaluation of Sleuth and guide them through their decision-making process.

You will have an organised, systematic approach allowing you to efficiently manage and support each school personally through the different stages and pace of their evaluation.  As part of a team, you will draw upon the experience and specialist knowledge of your colleagues in order to offer the best and most relevant advice possible.

With many schools, the professional rapport and trust that we established in these early stages of working together has led to a long-term working partnership over many years.

Candidate Skills / Qualifications Required

  • Relevant professional work experience is essential. Experience working in a school (4-19 mainstream or special) with governor, middle/senior management responsibility is a significant advantage.  Experience of software evaluation (e.g. in a school role) or software product sales is also advantageous;
  • Adaptable, keen to learn new skills and develop existing skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Well organised and task-oriented with an attention to detail;
  • Analytical, with a problem-solving approach to tasks;
  • A team player, willing to collaborate and work with others to achieve the best outcomes;
  • Strong IT skills and confident using a range of technologies and software products.

The successful candidate will receive product training for Sleuth as well as training in our internal CRM system which will be a key tool for the role.

There is considerable scope for the successful candidate to expand their role and contribute further to the business through product development, project and account management and delivering training.

You will be based in our main Cambridge office although there will be occasions when you are required to travel to schools for presentations, product demonstrations and to conferences and exhibitions. Some home-based working is possible and there is also the potential for term-time only working or for taking longer holidays out of term-time.
